Raipur 29 October 2024 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today ran a race with the residents of the capital at Telibandha pond in the capital Raipur for the unity and integrity of the nation. On this occasion, he said that the Run for Unity organized on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary inspires all of us to move forward unitedly. During this, the Chief Minister flagged off the unity race. Along with the Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Shri Tankaram Verma, Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, MLAs Purandar Mishra, Shri Motilal Sahu, Guru Khuswant Saheb also ran the unity race. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai started his address by remembering the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the Run for Unity program. He said that during the British rule, Sardar Patel led many big movements against the British. After independence, due to his efforts, the princely states were united and included in independent India. Shri Sai said that Sardar Patel dedicated his life to keep the integrity of India intact. He said that Run for Unity inspires all the people to move forward unitedly. The Chief Minister said that the determination and courage with which Sardar Patel united the nation is inspirational for all of us. The purpose of organizing Run for Unity is also to spread the mantra of fitness across the country. If everyone remains healthy, then the country will be able to move forward rapidly on the path of development with its full energy. On this occasion, the Chief Minister wished everyone on Dhanteras, Deepawali, Rajya Sthapana, Annakoot and Chhath Mahaparva.
Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam wished everyone on National Unity Day. He said that this holy day inspires us to maintain the unity and integrity of our country. We Indians can never forget the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Sports Minister Shri Tankaram Verma said that Run for Unity gives the message of unity, integrity and security of the country. Sardar Patel united more than 500 princely states for the integrity of the country. He said that we should all move forward together to achieve the goal set by our country’s successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of making India a developed country by 2047.
It is worth noting that keeping in view the celebration of Deepawali this year, National Unity Day and Run for Unity were organized on 29 October itself.
